Interculture: International Network

SIETAR World Congress 2008

The Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research SIETAR is the world’s leading organisation for professionals engaged in intercultural communication and learning. Today, the SIETAR Global Council oversees a global network of regional, national and local organisations. With more than 3,000 members world-wide, SIETAR is the largest interdisciplinary network in the field of intercultural cooperation and internationalisation.

On a regular basis, SIETAR facilitates the direct exchange between its members by organising national or international events. This year will see the celebration of the World Congress 2008, taking place from October 22 – 26 in Granada, Spain under the theme of “How Globalization Affects Cultures & Cultures Shape Globalization”.

And for those who do not intend to participate in this year’s event in Granada, there is still the opportunity to join one of the national or regional groups throughout Europe. The group in Munich / Germany, for example, meets in intervals of six to eight weeks, choosing a variety of topical and interesting issues to be presented and discussed – and guests are always welcome!

I will be looking forward to seeing you in Granada in October!
