Intercultural Madrid

Impressions from the Spanish Capital:
Madrid in the Summer

Madrid is always worth a trip – especially, when it can be combined with an exciting work assignment.

Last week, an intercultural workshop brought me into the Spanish capital, and I took the chance of staying a little longer and experiencing the city and its captivating atmosphere for some marvelous hours. Enjoy!

Plaza Mayor: Always worth a stop!

A new discovery for me: Mercado de San Miguel

Mouthwatering food inside... yummi!

Pedestrian zone at night time

An empty Gran Via on Saturday morning...

Madrid –
or possibly New York...?

Puerta del Sol with its clocktower

The emblem of Madrid:
The bear and the strawberry tree

Enjoying an early morning coffee

And last but not least, I found this picture symbolic for the current situation of the country – however, Spain would not be Spain if it would not cope with it and turn it around in the very near future!

Bandera de España – solo falta viento !
