Intercultural Impressions:
Doha | Qatar
My last intercontinental trip in 2014 finally brought me back to one of my favourite place on the planet: the Arabian Gulf. It was in Qatar in 2001 that my career as a management consultant really started to take off -- and I was happy to be back for a training trip last December.
Here are some of my impressions - enjoy! :-)
Qatar is seeing some difficult times with regard to public exposure, and there are good reasons for it. Nevertheless, it is a country that has come very far in a quick time span. I still enjoy to be part of the development and support improved conditions for everyone in the country. That is part of the intercultural understanding!
If you get a chance to visit the country, check out the Museum of Islamic Art, marvel at the skyline, stroll along the souq streets and gaze at the incredible development -- at least their new airport is running.... ;-)
